This is my first ever stab at recording....er......just about anything really! So I'd really appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Feel free to be as geeky and technical as you like, I can always use the internet to translate.

I know they say you shouldn't record/mix your own stuff but it's much cheaper this way!

p.s. the vocals and the bass need to be completely re-recorded as the performance quality is shocking (I'm the vocalist and very ill at the moment :s) but production tips would be very much appreciated!

To get you going you need to work on the drums.

put each instrument in its own frequency.

Not bad for your first mix though Good Job!!!

Nothing sounds necessarily bad, but it all sounds loose and washed out. Every instrument needs to sit in its own space in the mix.
