I'd just like to help some people out with doom metal. Chrord progressions in aolian i to v to i to v is great, very marchy. Also in aolian, the minor 6th is your best friend. Moving onto the blues scale, try to avoid the minor 3rd bend, while the 4th (perfect and augmented) bends still retain heaviness. Triplets add to bluesier Doom also. The trademark doom bridge, has VII to I prgression, which is horrible cliche, but still useable. I've been working on a double harmonic minor riff, wich adds some great tones. It's 1 b2 3 4 5 b6 7. Anything else?
