so there was the oregon brewers fest in portland this past weekend, i went one day (meant to go 2 but i was too hungover sunday )...some good brews! my faves were:

Siletz - spruce ale
Golden Valley - quercus
Philadelphia's - betsy ross imperial golden
Eugene City - honey orange wheat

the ommegang saison was pretty good too, and the widmer noggin grog was a pretty tasty 9%...did not like the steelhead double ipa though.

i would say, with virtually no experience to back up my claim, that portland is one of the best places in the world to have a beer

Cali rocks for beer, but the distrubution sucks. I cant get anythiung fby Dogfhish Head or Three Floyds. Even Alesmith is a bitch to trac kdown

Seriously. The west coast connection is like Chinatown, but everything else SUCKS.

I had to fly 2500 miles away to try Magic Hat for fuck's sake! Also Dogfish is VERY limited out here.

That being said, I totally consumed Boddington's on tap just last night. It was mmmmmmmmmmmmmmagic.
