Got this email....
Holy shit who wouldn't take him up on the offer?!
So I ask for your help in coming up with questions.
I have 6 right now, but obviously I need more...

here's the message:

You wanna talk to Doro on the phone? Did you get the new studio album?

ask her when she will be making actual metal again! (edit *i havent heard the new album so maybe im being overly harsh)Seriously, here are what springs to mind:

does she play much Warlock stuff live?

what's she listening to now?

How does she recall her time with Warlock, was it an accurate representation of how she wished to express herself at that time?

Does she still stay in touch with those guys, any chance of a reunion?

she doesnt really let her voice go wild, like she used to, could she still scream like that?

How does she compare the Euro and the American scene?

What does she think of her German peer Sabina Classen and Holy Moses? Has she(Doro) even been tempted to growl?

When is she gonna play in Australia again?!

Is it still a cold, cold world?

Hope you can reap something from that, Sixx

hehe some great questions there, but not all suited for this interview, as Priest Of Evil understandably just sponaneously wrote them down without doing any homework ;) She does make metal again, the album has a lot of old feel again. Still her typical mix of hymnes and ballads, some faster rockers. I used to be a big Warlock fan (only first 2 records) and never cared much for her solo stuff - but I love this new CD. And she has done a few reunion shows with Warlock, first on her 20th anniversary show in 2003 and the year after on Wacken. The rest of the questions rock :headbang:

But you won't need a whole lot of questions... she talks enthusiasticly and extensively! She's a lot of fun and an absolute doll...

you could also check out the interview I did in March:

Any possibility of coming to the U.S. to tour and when?

She's one of the few artists that I haven't seen that I'd like to.

May I take you out to dinner? :worship:

Just kidding on that last one, but she's still looking completely shaggable nearly 20 years since I first saw her on MTV. :loco: :dopey: :Spin:  :worship: :danceboy:

The usual questions:

How do you see the female position in metal (compared her days in Warlock and nowdays)?
Do you think it was more difficult for you to make a name in metal because you are a woman?
Who are your favorite vocalists?
Who inspired you to get into music?
Why the new album cover is stolen from a Luis Royo drawing? :D

I like the question about the cover art...
Cool.
Thanks.

The interview will happen my contact is good. I recently did one with Kory Clarke from Warrior Soul and now Dirty Rig! I also completed an interview with Paul Raven currently in Ministry, fomerly of Prong, still an active member of Killing Joke...

I just got the Dirty Rig CD, have you heard it? What do you think? I think its pretty good. Lacks a little on the musicianship side but it more than makes up for it with attitude.
