Download a new Arch Enemy track!

I'm pretty sure the guitar tone is awesome, but I can't tell completely from YouTube. It has this characteristic of blurring out high-end with its crappy compression, and I've been fooled before. But they sound pretty awesome on the vid!

For being a tubevideo it sounded really good. I liked the mix. A hell lot better than the awful mix on Rise of the Tyrant. :puke:

Song is not bad, just well............doesn't really sound all that much different to what they've already done I guess.
This kinda style has just been done to death, much prefer to listen to the melodeath bands that are being more adventurous and incorporating more experimental/progressive approaches to their composition and song writing.
That said, even if the riffs and general musical approach sounds uninspired, the Amott brothers always have that magic in their fingers when it comes to the leads.
The guitar solos alone always seem to take even their most mediocre songs to a slightly higher level. Really love their aggressive vibrato and bending, really gives the solos a lot of balls.
I admit I have found myself listening to Rise of the Tyrant just for the guitar solos in the past, absolutely ripping soloing.

For me it's exactly the other way around: the best ammott soli aren't worth much in a weak song...still haven't found a song on Rise of the Tyrant that I really like as much as any on Wages of Sin, AoR or Doomsday (which generally is one of the most awesome albums of all time for me)...at least the Digipack of RotT looks awesome in the shelf

I like the song, even if some things feel a bit expected about it. But glad as fuck it's not like RotT :headbang:
Chorus melody reminds me of some other song though
Mix is very cool, judging from youtube...feels a bit more natural/raw then usual sneap mixes, which isn't a bad thing at all.
Giving me a Wages of Sin vibe...both production and music.
Glad to pick it up on june 2nd

Same here. I wonder if he is still using Krankenstein?
