Sonata Arctica is one of my favorite bands and one of the only bands I would go to the HoB to see, but I was still debating on going to this show because...
1. It's at the HoB
2. It's on a school night.
3. I don't really give a crap about Dragonforce ever since Sonic Firestorm
4. Didn't want to pay over $30 to see Sonata Arctica play for 1/2 hour.
5. I would most likely be going alone.
6. It's at the HoB (Ha!)

But since it's a 5:30 start time, that means I could stop by after work, see Sonata Arctica, take the train home and still be home before bedtime.

Gawd, I'm getting old......

Is there another opener and that is why it starts so early?
Or is it that the majority of DF fans are under the age of 15?

Edit: What is the Subway promo? Does that mean I have to buy a crappy sub in order to save $5?

They have another band on the tour as the opener. I think it is Taking Dawn.

It is the Subway $5 ticket promo. You need a password. I think it is "Subway$5tix" without the quotes. You can get the same $5 ticket deal with using your Citibank card. Service fees work out to greater than the promo. It was $5 ticket to $5.50 service fee when I checked.

Yeah you're better off without the Subway deal. I just picked up a ticket for Children of Bodom, $10...no fees, nothing additional at all. COB got on my shit list with their last two "we're going to regurgitate the same album" discs, but for $10 bux it's worth hearing Alexi's "Yow-ow-OWW" again. Live Nation needs to do these deals more often.

September 27th at the House of Blues. I know. Trust me, I hate the venue for so many reasons myself. It is Sunday to boot, but that means the show will be out by 10PM. Come on Amber, 10 bux!
