i like general sound, how dandelium said, good natural drums but i´ll process them a bit and bass sound a bit extrange. i love guitars.
what did you use for guitars?

Sounds pretty cool, Louis!

I would maybe suck some of those muddier mids out of the bass guitar. It's a bit too prominent in the mix at the moment for my tastes. I'd reference off the US Randy/CLA stuff to get the low-end right, they always do it best for rock. The guitars are pretty cool. I think they'd sit nicely if the bass were tightened up.

I think the kick could use a bit more balls. I'd be blending one of the fatter Slate samples to get some sub-kick action in there.

Other than that it's a pretty nice natural mix man. I quite enjoy it :). See you tomorrow!

PS. The Nickelback track 'Follow You Home' would be a GREAT reference for this, IMO.

I struggled with the bass,i couldn't get it to work, and going off what the bass player said he liked i tried giving him that sort of sound.

As for the drums,i wouldn't call that produced,i wanted to see how the kit on it's own would compare, minimal processing expect some buss comping and extreme snare slamming all esle is pretty natural. There are alot of thing that could would should be improved if it's to be considered a "proper" mix but i slapped it together in about 6hrs and wanted to see what issues guys on this forum raised as to perhaps gain a different perspective with the overal direction of it.

Guitars once again are pretty minimal.
All i did was send the cabs to aux with psp vintage warmer and some eq,and blended in the room mics, which support the cabs.

Thanks for your input,it always helps to hear what others have to say.

I'll see you at Midday Mr.E.
