DREAM EVIL Rejoined By Singer, Bassist - Sep. 21, 2005

Sweden's DREAM EVIL have been rejoined by vocalist Niklas Isfeldt and bassist Peter Stålfors. "Whatever the reason, the only important thing is that they are back in the family again, and that we're getting ready to finally enter the studio to record the new album and follow up the great success of 'The Book of Heavy Metal'," drummer Snowy Shaw (KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, NOTRE DAME) said in a statement sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "A new chapter is about to be written..."

Isfeldt and Stålfors left DREAM EVIL in August, citing "personal issues" and "constantly recurring health problems." They were temporarily replaced by Jake E Berg and Tommy Larsson (ex-JAGGERNAUT, CHASTISEMENT), respectively.

ah. niklas (vocalist) and peter (bassist) left a short time ago, a couple months i believe....nut they have now rejoined Dream Evil

NIGHTRAGE IS ON TOUR but THOMAS LINDBERG AND GUS G ARE NOT WITH THEM. They have been replaced for this tour. I was going to see Nightrage the other night and I found out that neither of them were touring with band anymore and decided to forgo the concert. Gus i still doing the Arch enemy thing and Lindberg left about two months ago. Oh and I really like the new Firewind, that is all.

The new vocalist is from a band called deathdestructionmachine or some shit like that. Also The bass player left too, so right now its Marios (the Guitar player) , The drummer from Descent Into Chaos , and a bunch of new guys. Believe me Im just as dissapointed as everyone else.

Hi, i'm kinda new here. (been around 3 years ago)..kittybeast, thank you for the invite.
well, DE! i've somewhat mixed feeling hearing about niklas' rejoin.. he is an excellent vocalist, but when i saw DE after Mark joined, (he is a steady musician, not Gus G type; now playing with Dragonlord too) i thought they needed a strong charactor - strong as equivalent as Snowy - or at least close to. before they had a good balance. Gus G in front, Snowy in back, then Fred and Peter on both sides.. i have seen their lives 4 times, and everytime my impression toward Niklas on stage would be "shy". so when i heard the news that he left (along with Peter) i hoped Fredrik could bring in some new power to the band, as Mark is not that appealing type (he is a great guitarist tho)
But now they decided to come back. hope they are now more powerful (Peter was powerful enough in the past too) and blow us away again with their new album :)

thank you for the welcome Hawk, i love these rules. wonderful!

and about ontembaar, in Japanese we have a word "Otemba" which is said to be from Holland - The Netherlands. the meaning is rather "tomboy" than "shrew" in Japanese, but i thought it's interesting, actually i thought even romantic that we have been using this Dutch-oriented word in our normal lives, for more than 100 years. so i started to use this word as my title since i discovered it. i don't know the exact meaning of this word.. hope it's not too bad! :p

No it not bad. In fact I think its rather good. Ontembaar means "can not be tamed" :) The connection with "tomboy" is clear of course. From what I gather from Japanese its not that positive to be called a "tomboy". Correct me if I am wrong. :) Thats why I asked if that was true :)

Anyway, enjoy your stay here.

Welcome to the board Junnie. Nice to have a member on here from Japan. I look forward to talking with you about 80's Japanese metal (assuming you are into it) (I love it). :)

Welcome Junnie!

This board becomes more and more international indeed Greeno :)
