Hey guys. Hey SickBoy, I've redone Overture 1928 and there's also a little "teaser" for that tune I'm working on. Overture sounds pretty much the same for the exception of a couple of parts. It's kind of a hard one to nail perfectly because it's got so many different changes in it so it's gets a little crazy.

Any advice and opinions on "The Buzz Session" teaser are very welcome. The sound quality isn't so great but it's ok considering it's just a home recording. Anyway here they are:

Thanks Chris! I'm very happy you liked it. The wah is a Dunlop 535Q. It's a great wah because you can dial in lots of different wah tones and adjust gain and "Q". About Overture 1928: I'll post a new one to see if that works for you. If you have any advice on "The Buzz Session" (tone, playing, mix, etc.) I'd be happy to hear it.

Thanks, Drewski

Okay, so where are the drums? ;)
It sounds very good, I agree about the wah tone with Chris, it really sings nicely. I'd like to hear the whole song, though...
Is that some heavy Vai influence in the song that I'm hearing, eh? ;)

Chris, hopefully this one works for you but if not don't sweat it it's not much. It's just me playing over a backing track. Oh yeah, I just downloaded your classical recital videos and all I can say is WOW!
Got it!!!
If someone where to play me your version of that song I, it would take me a few passes to realize it wan't John Petrucci. Two very minor things:
at times you tone seems to be just a little dark, but then others it seems spot on. Then in two places you get just a hair behind the beat, but it's very minimal, I would be proud to call that rendition my own.
Chris.

Hey SickBoy, unfortunately I have nothing to put drums down with and I don't know any drummers with drum mics. But trust me I ask myself that question every time I listen back to it. I just put up a "teaser" of it so you can get an idea of what it sounds like. I'm still working on it. The thing is I don't get much time to record. The reason being is that this computer is in a sort of "family room" area in my house. So the only time I get to record is when nobody's up here watching TV, relaxing, etc. So I relate to the frustration because, believe me, I really want to get it done. But as soon as it's complete, which will be soon hopefully, I'll post the whole thing. :)
Thanks, Drewski

Wow, thank you so much for your kind comments and constructive critisism Chris. And once again thank you for taking the time to listen to my stuff. I think it's so cool of you to actually pay attention to you fans this much even if they are just 18 year old kids :D .
Thanks, Drewski
