Hello,
Recently my band is in the state of recording guitars, bass, drums, and vocals.
However, we don't know how to really.. record drums, we have 5 mics total, nothing special at that.
How can we record drums and have them as separate tracks (kick, snare, toms, cymbals) so we can adjust and eq what we want later?
Are there usb mixers that can record into various tracks at once for use with vst hosts/software?
Another quick question, how are all instruments mixed/volumed compared to each other?
For example in the overall mix, are drums a tad bit louder than rhythm/lead/bass, measuring in decibels of course.
If there is a thread on the volume mixing, send away if you can.
Sorry if I'm asking pre-answered questions but this audio stuff is very new to me but it would be nice to know whats what.
