Drum Triggers

Hey Andy,

What drum module and triggers would you recommend? Obviously, I am looking for those definitive metal sounding drum samples.

D drum triggers are what to go for, I've use Alesis D4 for ages now , which is a good starting point, I also use some other samples I've picked up along the way

Oh yeah, what should I go for in terms of outputs on the drum module. I guess my question is, what if I want to trigger toms too. Do I need enough outputs to cover toms, kick and snare? For me that would be 6 total outputs?

Well, if you are triggering toms, I'd say go for the d drum4. The sounds actually in the unit aren't great but you can download hundreds of sounds and the pitch/velocity bend function is great for making your toms sound more realistic.
