I'm recording some stuff I've written lately.. I play guitars and bass, but unfortunately I'm not as gifted on the drums, so I'm "stuck" with triggering my drums through MIDI.
I'm currently using Drumkit From Hell, but for the style of this music (prog/tech metal) it's not really doing a good job. Even with use of compressors and the such, it still too hard to get a good consistent sound without playing around with every dynamic attribute of every note played.
So if anyone can give me some suggestions on relatively good drum samples, commercial/non commercial packages it would greatly be appreciated. And also, Asgeir when you're dealing with triggering, are you as whiney as I am too get a perfect sound and perfect samples? Any personal tips would be greatly appreciated man

Edit: Also, I've heard BFD is great, can anyone comment?
