DT Website.....Boring Boring!

Since my silence seems to have been slightly misunderstood, no, I am not that dim.
I was just trying to point out the fact that in the end you became impolite... (at least in my eyes)

Cheers :)

Now that I remember, I have to say that I find the music of the site, in the lyrics database, somewhat annoying.
That's a personal opinion of course, I generally don't like sites with music, cause it mixes with the music that I already listen to...
What's everybody's opinion on that?

It used to bother me too, until i decided to ignore it :p
Um.. also about it.. please fix the typo of Enter Suicidal Angels.. it drives me insane everytime i see it

well I also get annoyed by sites with music, specially with the ones made in flash and have not the option to turn it off!!!!

DT stands for Dark Tranquillity, Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, Dark Trhone, Dee Tee....so I normally have to explain myself

I belive the "DT Acronymn" discussion has been widely discussed :D

Anyway, do the damn album and worry bout the site later hehe. Im happy with getting news letters for now, i am looking forward to the new design coming out for the new album.

Perhaps putting some pictures of some vixxens on the ste would attract more attention Niklas? Besides they are to be your first priority, god knows the hungry vixxens should be deprived of sex from metal bands :)

I totally agree with Father_Vic's response of D.T. members keeping up with the forum. Any band with their website and updates isn't anything new, but I do like band members, like Niklas and Mikael, respond to their band's fan's messages. It really keep fans (like myself) feel closer to the band even though I've never been to their concerts and I live half a world away.

Arch.

Definitely. It's always nice to see a band so intersted in the fans. A lot bands claim to keep in touch with the fans(Metallica....... ;-) ) yet very few manage it with any degree of success. Fair dues to DT. It always makes me feel a little closer to my favourite band.

Anyone else agree with me here? I think the guys could try a little harder to keep it updated and fresh. I know they're busy and shit, but it's not that hard to appoint someone the task of maintaining your website for you and then keeping them up to date with ideas, new lyrics, news, competitions, scheduled chats etc etc.... Come on guys!!

By the way.....I'm new here...please be kind!

I think that DT cant afford someone to keep up their site with money and such. And I prefer that a band member himself keeps it up as then the band can offer us right and appropriate information(no misunderstanding etc).

well I think there are many many many profesionals outthere that would take the job without getting a simple coin!
But as I said once, it's better to have them doing the whole thing

@Inverted Reflection
Yeah... talk about Metallica "keeping in touch" with their fans.
To be in Metallica's Official Fan Club, one must pay an yearly fee (more than I can afford), then after waiting for a few months to half a year later, they are an official Metallica Club member. Of course they receive their "free" stuff along with the privilege to use some of their Metallica.com functionalities, like message boards and read message postings from the band member.

Now that I just bad-mouthed Metallica, I'm waiting for their lawyers to call me. :)
