Dub Step Hardcore

You know, I experimented with the snare a lot.. There's a lot of layers in this song in certain spots, and in those spots the snare would die out, so I tried EQing the hi-mids a little bit up, but it sounded quite ticky, so I guess this was the happy medium.

Love what you did at 2:17.

Awesome mix man, I always look forward to see what you show next. Only thing I would change is to make the snare a little less thud and more crack/ping, but that's just personal taste. Props!!

Used 2 slightly (keyword) different tones and panned them 100% L, 100% R.. That's all

What did you use for the guitar tones? I saw your equipment on your production Myspace but it looks a little outdated. Did you use a pre-amp or a plugin like Amplitube/PODFarm or something?

It sounds really.... idk. Rough. I really like your tone. Not digital sounding at all like most. :)

Great work. I'm using this as reference to get better.

Engl Savage-->Mesa OS--> sm57/421

I'm loving the bulge on the end of the notes. In beginning, it sounds so bulky, if you know what I mean. I'm referring to the tone. Idk, I love ENGL. I think they possess really original tone. Now if only I could afford it... :lol:

when i heard this first i thought the telephone filter from the beginning would suddenly dissapear and the real song starts, you know like we're used to...
but after 2 minutes i finally understood that this seems to be the final sound...
sorry dude, its cool how you produced it, but mix wise its super scooped. way way too scooped for my taste.
id work on those guitars and the lower mids.

hope that helps to improve ! you got potential,dude! not sure though if your room is maybe playing tricks on you...?

Sounds cool. A bit more spacey sounding than the stuff that's released out there, which is good because its different, its not so tight and robot like. I like how everything is right where it needs to be. Good job, dude.

Precisely what I was about to say. Fab work :)
