I figured some of you guys may enjoy this stuff. I'd say it's worth a listen if you're just in the mood for something a bit oddball either way.
The band was a strange mixture of funk, dub, reggae, doom, disco, ambient, psychadelic, progressive and metal elements in a big avant-garde melting pot.
All the stuff I'm posting here is entirely improvised in our shitty college recording studio, so the recordings for the most part are fairly shoddy. A fair bit of the music is fairly weak too, but there's IMO, moments of awesomez. but yeah I figured I'd just dump it all here just in case anyone has even a vague interesting in hearing some shit like this
Don't listen to this shit expecting instrumental perfection. I'm a sloppy fucking drummer (although you can hear a progression and improvement in tightness and stuff as the jam's progress) and the whole thing was based more around creativity than tightness. Everything you hear here is improvised.
Our first improvised epic, 36 minutes long, pretty amazing:

Our second improvised epic, about 41 minutes long, my personal favourite:
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/631208/fiaj4.mp3
Our very last jam, pretty funky in places, very odd for the most part, my second favourite:

I'm not sure when we did this one. There's a couple of parts of this that I really like. One utterly filthy groove that's worth listening to the track for alone though:

The next two mp3's are from what was probably our best jam, but this utter CUNT on our course, a JAKE PORTER (if you're reading this you're an absolute fucking cunt,) was fucking with the panning knobs and the faders on the desk WHILE WE WERE RECORDING. The recording started off fine, but it's mostly completely unsalvagable. You'll hear the master fader cut out completely once or twice in one of these mp3's. And the raw files started off sounding quite aight, but they got ruined by that point in the jam, so these files are pretty fucking horrible quality, and these are probably the noisiest and heaviest clips I'm gonna post by this band.

All recorded in our shitty college studio
Guitar was
Marshall AVT 150 1x12 combo with a morley bass wah going into the front at all times
Miced up with some M-Audio Large Diaphragm condenser. forgot what the name was.
Bass was an ashdown head into a behringer cab with a D112 for the most part. one or two jams had a 57 in there as well. one or two jams used college's ampeg practice amp too. bass was a cheapy fretless into my Boss ME-50, and fretted bass on "Blood Sugar Sex Foetus"
Drums were a shit mishmash practice kit for Forests Of Asbestos, and then for the rest it was a Pearl Export kit (at least I think it was all of them after that..) that was tuned differently (and badly) every week because dumbfuck nu-metal cunts kept fucking with it.
SM57 on the top of the snare every jam. Kick mic varied from week to week. OH's were usually some AKG shit, but they were like the worst cymbals in recorded history, toms rarely got miced up cos we were usually in a hurry to get everything set up.
the mix's arent really mixes, just processed mp3's that were all just salvage jobs. we'd do a rough mix at college in the control room to take home with us. shit that sounded mega bright in that room (on tannoy reveal 5a's) sounded mega muddy EVERYWHERE else. So most of these mixes don't really sound goodz or anything.
I dunno if anyone will care about this stuff, but it's here for anyone who wants to listen All I ask is that you post your thoughts if you do
Enjoy!
