Dying Fetus - War of Attrition

Anyone heard this yet? Fuckin AWESOME. After a disappointing "Stop at Nothing", they have come out with an album that I would say is actually better than Destroy the Opposition. The trademark DF groove mixed with technical brutality is all over this mothah. Damn great production too. I haven't been getting into too much death metal lately, but this album could make a 90 year old grandma headbang.

Great album. There's been an insane amount of hype surrounding this record, and thankfully it's managed to live up to it.

I remember the samples being boring. DtO was my favorite DM back in junior high, but I don't think I'll bother anymore. I pretty much prefer the punkier, hardcore direction that Misery Index took. Any opinions on their latest?

I loved Retaliate and the Dissent EP, but honestly, I cant get into the new MI album. Just came off as more like an album by any generic death metal band to me.

what bothered me about stop at nothing was that I dislike the original drummer and that drum sound bored me to death. I dig the current drummer and the new cd is very good. It might not top destroy the opposition or killing on adrenaline but it is a nice return to form for them.
