Dynamic Splits

I've come across some really awesome splits lately. I find the split format to be incredibly rewarding if the sequencing is on point and the bands offer minor variations on an over arching theme.

Awesome idea, you already mentioned the Anal Vomit / Goat Semen split which rules massively, one of my other favourite splits of all time is the 1994 Regurgitate / Dead split:

The Panphage split with Þul is pretty cool, even though all of the music is probably made by the same person.

^ Panphage side rules, some of his best songs imo. Same with the Jarndvidr split.

One of my all-time favourites is the Moonblood/Deathspell Omega split. Arguably contains Moonblood's best stuff:



Sadistic Intent's 2016 split EP with Pentacle is a more recent favourite. Maybe it's because they haven't released much music during their career but it's incredible to me that they're still releasing such sublimely dark and evil-drenched death metal 30 years after their inception. Deserves more than just a vinyl release:
