I recorded my first band last week and this is a sample of what I got. They're friends of mine and basically I threw some mics out and hit record, free of charge, everything done in one night.
The vox are live so there's a little bleed from the drums that won't be there in the final mix, but i left the vocals in there anyway for now. We still haven't finished tracking solos and still have to go over vox. It's mixed a little but with more to come obviously. Let me know what you think. It's really just a sort of test for me, but if you guys have any advice for what I should probably think about for next time then let me know.
PS sorry I'm having an issue bouncing tracks with PT so I had to post it as a quicktime movie (no fades either).
PPS the kick is fake--it's the stock one that comes with drumagog
