Ed VH at Dimebag's Funeral - a class act!

I read a report that not only did Edward Van Halen attend Dimebag Darrell's funeral but he also put a yellow/black striped guitar in the casket with him! (A KISS kasket no less!) What a class act, Edward is. A shame that he seems to have given in to the sauce, again. But this just shows what a big heart the guy has.

The "sauce" may have just given him the confidence to step up and make such an honorable display of respect. Any way, any reason, it's cool.

I went to a Fear Factory concert today. The Marshall towers had in big lettering RIP DBD on them. Public shouted a few times Dimebag, Dimebag, and coming from over a thousand people it was quit chilling.....

Is there any published reports in newspapers etc.. that Eddie actually attended? because as far as i know Eddie rarely if at all has contact with the metal world.. as for Zakk.. he does look like a bloated wannabe Hells Angel that plays guitar... I remember what Zakk looked like when he first joined Ozzy at age 19 i believe.. and what he looks like now.. not a pretty sight nowadays...

Yeah man it's a goddamn shame. I keep thinking one day he'll get into it with someone and get stabbed to death.
I was kinda thinking that Phillip was gonna be the first to get killed due to his short fuse, don't get me wrong I've got nothin' against him but I'd never expected Dime to go the way he did.
I was pumping so much adrenaline at the memorial, I thought I was sick,I'll never forget it.
I've been tryin to put a drawing of mine in tribute to Dime but I can't seem to do it...so sorry Dime, technology is evil!

I should note that Ed is my all time guitar hero, but coming from a long line of raging alcoholics (my father included) I hate the fact that he's succombed to this weakness again. That's another example of why rock stars don't make good role models...but you gotta love the talent...for anybody that's interested, there are some pics of Ed VH at Dimes funeral with Zakk Wylde at www.vhnd.com (van halen news desk) and it verifies Ed putting the guitar in Dime's casket. Evidently, it had always been his dream to hold and play that guitar and Ed said, "It's yours now, Darrell". What a big heart he has. But it's a shame about the alcohol and TOBACCO! He's smokin' again! Didn't he lose half his tongue for pete's sake????
