But Symphony X do it in a cool way (from what ive heard!) and are more metally, plus the singer has some balls, as does the riffing  :D

http://community.webshots.com/user/spawned theres a couple of pics of the glass and ring there Sprucey (and I finally had a legitamte use for my digital camera! Ahh this 700 dollars is paying for itself! :) )

Sydo: Only given it a very quick listen, quite heavy, seems good :)

The scroll wouldnt photograph properly, its basically the one in the Best Of The Beast album :D

I'm almost done - just got disc 2 of the B-sides and disc 2 of the BBC Archives to go. Beast Over Hammersmith RULES! Pity there's no Somewhere On Tour stuff, though.

Not sure if it's worth more than $100, but oh well.

Sounds awesome guys! Looks cool in the pics too.
I shall get it next trip to JBs, along with some WASP cds!

Sounds like your right too Spiffy, is the first time Maiden have came through strongly with a release like this in ages! (well, I love the RIR DVD, but this looks awesome!)

Young Angelus? He's over 200 years old fer Christ's sake

I guess I have a certain fondness for grim n' gritty TV shows about characters who brood a lot, like the dark and prefer to observe life from the outside rather than participate in it. Sound familiar? ;).

That's why I liked Forever Knight, Millennium and Brimstone so much as well. Buffy and Charmed would both head more in that direction if I were writing them.

Whilst you're here Spiff, your Talkmovies site hasn't worked at all today. Any idea what the problem is?

Yes, I know he's over 200 years old, I was just being condescending towards everyone's second-favourite vampire (after Spike, of course). :) Why doesn't Angel just kill himself to save himself the eternal torment of living with what he's done?

Must be your side of things - it's working fine for me, and there have been quite a few posts too! :) Oh, and another person just signed up - woo!

Because Charmed has Alyssa Milano in it, and her (ahem!) "figure" is astonishing ;).

I agree about the standard of stories and scripts though. That show has so much wasted potential. It'd be *so* much better if they let me write it. EG:

Scene 1: INT

(PHOEBE comes bouncing down the stairs, looking rather flustered.)

PHOEBE: Oh my god! The underwear demon's stolen all my bras again. That's the fourth time this week.

(PAIGE looks up, somewhat wide-eyed, from buttering her toast at the kitchen table.)

PAIGE: I can see that. Wait a minute, yours are bigger than mine! Bitch!

(A catfight ensues, and Wrathy excuses himself to go and tip a bucket of ice down his trousers.)

That's not *really* how I'd write it, I just got a bit carried away :). It needs to be darker and scarier, with a lot more research done into the spells they cast and symbols they use.

I'm quite enjoying "Smallville" now that I've gotten over it being a Buffy rip off. The chick who plays Lana annoys me though, and the black kid's hair is just plain WEIRD! The front bit on his forehead is quite strange.

Oh, and this year's series of Buffy and Angel start tonight on Foxtel! If I hadn't been going overseas I would have seen it already.
