Eddies cellmate

Yea Paul, I have the same cpu and soundcard.

I can't think of anything off of the top of my head, but I'll look through the card's settings and see if I can come up with some suggestions.

I'd guess that it has to do with the Santa Cruz software's settings or n-track's settings...

I'd start by looking through the settings of each, and making sure that nothing's set incorrectly.

Also, make sure that all of your cables, etc are stereo.

BTW-Which driver are you using?

Go to your control panel, open system/device manager, select your soundcard, click properties and see what the driver version number is for the file tbcspud.sys. If it's not 5.12.01. 4141-3218 then you'll want to check the Dell support site for an updated driver. I don't know if that's related to your problem, but you'll want the latest driver anyway.

I now downloaded the drivers from the santa cruz web site
still only one chanel:cry:
but the offical drivers seem more responsvie and and have more setting..

and it doesnt crackel with the mic boost on like it did beforw with xp

I'll have to look into that, I've only used the Dell drivers.

I can't imagine why you're only getting one channel. Have you tried the Santa Cruz "Sound Check" diagnostic tool? Maybe that could help?

I'd check that the wires are in right jacks of your soundcard...

That's all I can say really, any hardware put out after '96 is out of my league... :B
