"Alone In The Dark", the upcoming horror movie based on the popular computer game series, will also feature an appropriate dark soundtrack: The first bands confirmed for it are modern thrash metallers MNEMIC (with the track "Ghost"), Sweden's successful melodic death export IN FLAMES ("The Quiet Place") and Swedish melodic death giants SOILWORK ("Departure Plan"). Also being discussed for possible inclusion on the soundtrack are DEATH ANGEL, NIGHTWISH, EDGUY, and ANTHRAX, among others.

This is such awesome news and I am praying Edguy gets one of their songs in the movie. I went to the movie website and they have Nuclear Blast on their links page. Nightwish and Edguy can get some awesome exposure if this works out.

I can really see Planet Hell being in there from Nightwish but I dont know about Edguy. They also seem to have chosen two of the worst songs from In Flames and Soilworks catalog as well.

HA, I went to see Hellboy and while I enjoyed the movie I was disappointed at the end when I didn't hear Dimmu played. I was waiting the whole movie for one of the two songs to bust out.

I'm still amazed that those two Dimmu songs were used in the Hellboy trailer. It couldn't have been too long after Death Cult Armageddon came out when they made that trailer; heck, it might've had to've been made BEFORE the CD came out. (!)
