Editing Metatags?

So I am trying to prepare my band's EP for an online release and I cannot get Metatag/ID3 to save to the wav files as I am getting an error saying the files are read-only when they are not. The files are not protected, they are my own songs/created files what gives?

Is there any free software out there that will override Window's excessively secure bullshit or am I just fucked?

There's no way to save ID3 tags to a .wav file. It's not about security, it's really the file format.

There's some other kind of metadata that you can imbed though, check out a software called Soundminer.

I was refering to the Meta data, not ID3. I got the ID3 on the Mp3 files with no problem, its just getting the meta data on the wav files.

You can embed Metadata using VLC:

Tools> Media Information or just CTRL + I

Fuck I deleted that some time ago.

The weird thing is that WinAmp has a section for meta data however it pull up in the editor, but it won't save to the file itself. And right now I can't even get the editor to open up now.

EDIT: I see whats going on it was the meta data on the mp3s, winamp will not open up the editor for wav files.
