Lol, that brings back memories. My uncle used to make that all the time for us when we were kids. It's excellent with a bit of cottage cheese! (or even better, melted gvina tsehuba on it)

Bourakes:

Cheese > Potatoes but all good.

Hagelslag:

First time I went to Holland they introduced me to "Chocolate sprinkle sandwiches". I thought they were kidding but I was so (deliciously) wrong.

I finally found a place that has good falafel here in the bay area. You would think with all the Israelis here there would be more but nope.

Also, kishka and cholent! Sooooo good.

Cholent

btw, not a big fan of Kishka... Not really into sausages unless they are made all natural/ whole ingredient-like but
I have to admit, that some of my Russian friends in Israel make amazing Kishka dishes and one shall never refuse home cooked dinner when being served with lots of beers/vodka :D

^ that Israeli food I posted doesn't look like nothing much in pictures (and that's a shame)
but trust me it is devine, especially when made fresh and from scratch like the one's my mom makes... OH MY GOD I am drooling just from the thought of it.

Emphasis on torrone in this thread is key. During Italian class, the students with the highest exam grades would be rewarded with the individual squares of this shit.
