So... it appears I have been playing with a semi-functional cabinet for over 2 years... and never noticed.

Something came over me to try to mic the bottom speakers today...

To my surprise:

THE DAMN THING DOESN'T WORK...


15 min's and 30 screws later..

Everything inside looks spot on, but i'm no tech and have no multimeter to check all the connections..

Anywho, now I have to find some tech in my area that will handle this

Yeah, just did the 9V battery test, the bottom speakers are completely dead.


Any tips for replacement ? I'm thinking V30's

What you got in there at the minute? If you already have 2 V30's that work fine and sound good, why not get some different speakers to compliment them and give you more options as far as micing and blending go?

Hey Gareth, you must have misread me, the cab is equiped with eminence p50e's, since two of them are broken I'm thinking of replacing those two with V30's.

No, what he meant was if the cab already had V30's, you could get other speakers to fill in the 2 gaps to get moar sounds.
