electric drum pads

my drum pads seem to be more velocity sensitive on the outer edge of the pad then the center? any suggestions? i mean i hit it full pelt in the center of the pad and it triggeres as if i was hitting it moderately hard?

Are you using a drum module for your sounds or are you running from a module into your DAW?

its straight from the module, i haven't even hooked it to my daw yet lol! its a legacy dd502 drum set (could be called somethin else in different countries). any ideas?
