Elitist Newsletter - June 28th 2002

************************************

||| - Our next two releases, Rakoth's masterful "Planeshift" and
Without Face's supreme "Astronomicon" will be out in Europe on
Monday, July 1st. You should be able to find the CDs in your local
record store, but if not then we have the CDs for just $11.00
including postage anywhere in the world. The first 3000 copies of
the European version of the Rakoth album will come in a stylish
Digipac designed by TemnO.unArt. This special edition will only
be available to US buyers ordering through the website. Go here
to the online store: http://shop.earache.com/ . Advance MP3s
from both bands can be found at the new, revamped Earache
website. www.earache.com .

||| - The US releases for both albums are set for July 23rd. The US
releases for both Rakoth and Without Face will have an extra CD
compilation included, featuring all the Elitist bands signed so far.

||| - Lunaris, the Progressive black / death metal masterminds
featuring members of Spiral Architect, Satyricon and Borknagar
will unleash their debut album "..The Infinite" on September 2nd in
Europe, with the US release a short while after (to be confirmed).
This album will propel Lunaris right to the top of the pile, trampling
all in their way with their combination of virtuoso musicianship and
elite execution. See what I mean with this taster of the great
things to come: www.elitistrecords.co.uk/lunaris2.mp3

||| - Rakoth are presently recording their new album for Elitist in
Moscow. Entitled "Tiny Deaths", this promises to be a landmark in
eccentric, experimental folk-ish Avant-metal. Advance MP3's will
be available as soon as we have 'em. We'll keep you posted.

||| - Russian black doom gods Forest Stream are close to the
completion of their debut album, entitled "Tears Of Mortal
Solitude". This will be the ultimate in dark, majestic, epic black
metal. A haunting, crestfallen classic is guaranteed. Again MP3's
will be available as soon as we have them. In the meantime
check out a demo MP3 as a taste of things to come:
www.elitistrecords.co.uk/foreststream.mp3 .

||| - Ephel Duath have completed some demo recordings as
pre-production for their upcoming "The Painter's Palette" album.
Main man Davide has assembled a line-up of great musicians,
including two members who also play in freeform Jazz bands.
These influences will make Ephel Duath more organic, crazier,
more layered and multidimensional than ever before. Ephel Duath
is set to take the concept of Avant metal to new and illogical
extremes. You have been warned...

||| - Webmasters, a full range of Hi-Res digital images to
accompany the Elitist bands and releases are available here:
http://www.earache.com/info/media.html .

||| - Digital Metal were kind enough to allow me to air my opinions
on metal in general. An interview is here:
http://www.digitalmetal.com/interviews.asp?iID=3215

||| - That's all for now. Please feel free to check out our forum at
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/f113/s . Your comments
would be appreciated.

Thanks. Lee Barrett - Elitist A&R

Cool! But I join the opinion that Elitist's site is damn slow and confusing... It takes agaes to figure out what those blinking buttons are... When I put my mouse on it it takes up to 20 seconds for the name to be lifted from the world beneath... Better name the buttons themselves instead of that weird side elevator...

The site was intentionally confusing, which is my fault. I think the term "style over substance" fits it well. :)

To address the issue we're having a HTML site made and you can choose Flash or HTML at the opening page. This is taking a while to happen unfortunately, but we hope it have it online as soon as possible.
