Emmure - Felony

I think Zeuss did a good job on The Respect Issue, hope the next one sounds as massive. As for the music, I listen to it for laughs, it's so absurd that it's hilarious and it never fails to cheer me up

Really digging the guitar tone and the drums, massive. Really a great mix. That being said, I don't understand the appeal of this kind of music at all. It really is like Limp Bizkit with br00talz.

omggggzzz

this is probably my fav band ever lol they are just so god damn heavy

I listened to bars in astoria on their myspace and I went nuts haha

I fucking love this band! Always have. I know a lot of people that don't but, pfffft.

I dig the new shit. Sounds much more like older Emmure. I thought The Respect Issue was a bit boring.

actually i'm good friends with them, my friend bryan co produced it alongside antoine from ion dissonance and a lot of the pre production and writing was done in my studio!

def a change in direction musically and sonically. then again it was recorded in the middle of the woods in canada in a huge live room very unique.

aramism - that's really cool. Like I said, the production is top notch, and the execution is flawless. Just not my cup of tea, still it seems like these guys are one of the bands that is leading an entire wave of other bands, so I have to give them credit for starting something, even if I don't "get it."

how the pre production looks like? They recorded stuff in your studio and later do this again in different?

the actual recording is more or less identical to the pre production just a matter of getting sounds and performance. in other words the music was written and arranged in new york and recorded in canada if that helps. and oddly enough a lot of effects and weird noises were kept from the pre production as well some oddball vocal stuff.

and yeah im not saying don't bash the band go for it i hate all the scene bands and "core" bands its all lame shit. i'm not really into breakdowns. though i do think this was a change in direction for the band as they try to slowly seperate themselves from the "scene." they are good dudes though and def good at what they do even if the genre isn't yours or mine cup of tea.
