Interesting read but I wasn't able to finish the article as I'm not a subscriber.
The history element alone was worth the read, and the idea that we will have normalisation in our devices within a few years is equally exciting and concerning. Will it work as we expect it to in reading these initial reports? Will it make any album released in the last decade sound relatively shit compared to albums to come in the next decade? Will the technology in bulk manufacture be cheap and reduce fidelity of our hard work?
Interested to see how this unfolds and to read more as time goes on.

I wish, but every time I release an album that is not overloud, the fans complain it's too quiet :zombie:

None of my albums are loud. The first three are actually pretty quiet (-12db RMS on average). Nobody has ever even mentioned it. People just say that "they sound good".
When I find music not loud enough, I physically use the VOLUME button and turn it up to taste. Generally, it works and the music then sounds louder... weird, I know.:zombie:
