also, let me know if i am right in this assumption, jesters race and whoreacle are IFs best CDs?

Don't know about Jesters Race but Whoracle has some awesome songs. "Jotun" is kickass (better in live recordings though). "Everything Counts" is a crazyass Depeche Mode cover. The instrumental at the end is pretty badass too. I know, I suck at reviewing music, but that's my two cents.

I saw In Flames, w/ opening act Jag Panzer and headliner Iced Earth...

Jag Panzer - excellent band; american power metal - best singer and the best guitarist in the genre

In Flames - looked a little bit out of place, singer sings really badly on clean parts and the drummer looks like he wants someone to kill him - no fun to watch really...

IE - best metal band there is besides Anthrax... 'nuff said.

Hell yeah!

And The End is great, I've been buying from them recently, no problems at all...

has anyone seen IF live, if so let me knwo what you think, and also is tokyo showdown anygood?

They're worth seeing. I saw 'em a couple years ago opening for Earth Crisis, who are straightedge. It was pretty funny having the beer drinking, smoking metal fans with the straightedgers who don't touch the stuff.
In Flames left me with a sore neck.

I was supposed to see them open for Soulfly and Slayer last year but I got there late. I didn't really think they'd go on stage at 5:30, but they did!

The live album is okay. I haven't listed to it in a while. I know I have an mp3 of "Jotun" live that is much better than what they put on there. I was dissapointed with that.

Yes! I saw them on that bill ... the first band up were Nevermore (?!?!) the IF, Soulfly and in the end the allmighty sons of Satan, Slayer... IF were a little better than on the Iced Earth show.. but still the singer isn't very charismatic and the rest of the band ... well,... read my previous post.
