Good to see a large international metal forum, I just found it. So, I thought, what's a better way to introduce myself than with a shameless plug of my band 
We're a Dutch metal band from the east of the country (Twente!). The style we play is called melodic dark metal - it has doom, black, gothic, power and perhaps even some progressive-metal influences. Soundsources: Guitar, bass, drums, synths, violin and vocals.
In June we released a demo CD called Invocation. Three tracks:
