Well, you'd have to have one great record player, one that would set you back a lot of money.

That money could be spent on one CD player and like 10 CDs.

Plus, these new records sell in Canada for like 30-40 bucks.

If you got the spare cash, go ahead....I guess...waste of money to me, especially if you're just buying it as a collectors item.
 
Granted, the sound is better on a CD, but there are those of us who grew up with only 8-tracks and vinyl, so if there's anything I want available on vinyl, I'll pay extra for it. They're nostalgic as well as collector's items.
 
RP is...well....retarded! When was the last time you listened to a LP? On a fisher price record player? The technology has advanced. Decent record players really aren't that much money either. Plus, even if you can't see why people collect LPs, fact of the matter is that many fans do. I don't see a problem in doing so.
