ENSIFERUM

Has anyone listened to this finnish-viking-folk band? They are great.

If anyone has any idea of what Ensiferum has been doing, or info on new records or gigs or something, I would appreciate it because I haven't heard of them for a long time.

Dunno what they are doing right now....I would suppose they are writing new songs.. .......but I really enjoyed their debut album!

yeah, i agree. Ensiferum is great band. i read somewhere about their second album, but i don't remember where and when this album will be release...

I have a friend who knows the Ensiferum guys personally. He told me that the band is working on their 2nd album and it should be released this winter. The sooner the better I say!

I saw Ensiferum at Tuska, they were fucking great. I especially liked the AC/DC cover they played

Their gig at Lutakko, JKL last fall was just bloody amazing. One of my favourite finnish bands...

I was sitting on the ground near that tent (2nd stage) while they played.. too much alcohol, couldn't move myself
They're not my favourite band or anything so it doesn't matter much that I missed them.
But I do remember hearing some familiar cover

hey exorial did they say anything about a Europe wide tour after the release of their 2nd album?! As I can see on several pages they only tour in Finland.

I have their first album this Kalevala...allthrough is good album! I´ve seen them live; let`s see twice or three times..

and i hope they will make an european tour after the release of the album

They are a good band, but sometimes they re very similar to Children of Bodom on vocals and some guitar riffs (good melodies). I prefer viking metal such as Windir or Moonsorrow.
