Well, sort of. It only lasted an hour, but it was enough to fuck up my evening. I was walking home from the library(which had power when I left, mind you). I missed my final turn and that was when I realized that the streelights weren't working. I ended up walking an extra mile. Usually the stretch of road I walk along is lit up like fucking Las Vegas, but I guess when you're not paying attention you don't notice as quickly as you'd think. I neded up having to backtrack and cross all sorts of dangerously busy intersections in the pitch black. This city has particularly wide roads, and I'm not very fast, so I had to wait ridiculous amounts of time for the cars to thin out enough.
The power came back on eventually. the streetlights flickered for a while, but by the time they reestablished equilibrium, all of the restaurant people had gone home...so I went to bed hungry.
