Epic thrash/heavy metal band, need ears!

Aight guys, I need your help, is there something more to do with this mix?

It's a local bands demo, I did all the tracking, editing, mix and "master" with a little help from my friend. Drums are real, blended with some Slate goodness.

Band is called Mepharis and this track is titled "Suicide Avenue". The whole demo/EP will be up to download and on myspace soon if anyones interested!

BTW. It's my first paid AE job so yay for me! Altho the money I earned is rather ridiculous...

Sounds good. For my taste, the vocals are too loud (and I don't dig his voice) and the snare sounds a bit mechanical at times.

I'm personally not digging the distorted guitar tone (too fizzy for my taste, might be due to lack of mids)... the snare sounds REALLY distant... the kick doesnt really have any beef to it... the vocals are WAY too up front.

if its a demo, then its good. they should be happy with it.

unless they are willing to pay more than you can do a whole lot to it. at least thats what i would do.

I'm pretty happy with the tone atm, especially as it was recorded in totally ghetto conditions and the musicians were... well lets just say not virtuosos

Awsome! Kinda sounds like Kataklysm. The vocals seem like they are coming from in front of the music rather than within it. The kick drum definitely needs to be a little fatter. But I definitely like the song.
