How good is Simone Simons?

I was too busy chatting and drinking to catch them at 13th Day after our set... but wow what a revelation....

You were there??? :hypno: I was there too but totally didn't see you.

Epica and Season's End were awesome! I wasn't sure of the venue, it looked more like a cowshed to me, but the awesomeness of the bands made up for it.

Season's End were great as always. I absolutely love their new song Angel Garden. Shame most of them left so quickly after the gig.

Epica played a bombastic gig, even better than at 13th Day. They are really nice people too, they were hanging around with fans for ages after the gig. And, of course, Simone is the prettiest female vocalist in metal (sorry Becki, I still love you though).

Looking forward to your report, Sean. :)

Hi Max, yup Nick and i were there, blending in to the background along with Chris and Liam from Metalism.
Yeah um... when i said report, i didn't really mean report (not being much of a journalist ) .. all i was going to say is how Seasons End had improved since i last saw 'em.. loads of shows and the 2 new guys have really moved em up a notch and it was great to see... i thought as a line up they worked really well but apparently Jon isn't joining them so it's not the final result... the bass player gave us a couple of laughs though which was good fun and him (very tall) standing behind Dave (not so tall) was amusing also... and they seemed to have a laugh about it...

Epica, i have no cd's of theirs but will be purchasing some now , (Recommendations please) i was very impressed with Simone, her charisma was something you don't see every day. Wouldn't mind one of your photos of her for me to use as a wallpaper (yeah i'm a fanboy so what?:p ). I thought the whole band played well as you could see them thinking "what is this place" when they came up on stage.. a very pro class band....

Epica have only got two albums out at the moment, I suggest you get them both. Simone is indeed a great frontwoman, and she seems very relaxed and playful on stage. I've got more photos up at http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/maxphotouk/Epica SE Nexus 06

Can't wait to see Season's End at BOA! You guys coming?

Max, Vince asked us to play BSOA this year but unfortunately Nick and i are both in Finland that weekend for a friends wedding so it couldn't happen ...
Will have a look at the photos...
