As someone whose car ended up in the ditch last night, this story hits close to home.

Yeah, a lot of people on Blabbermouth are really ignorant, which is why I don't even bother reading those comments anymore.

I'm okay. The car appears to be undamaged, which is amazing since it ended up nose-down, left-rear tire up in the air, resting on the undercarriage a bit aft of the front tires.
Say what you want about Fords, but THIS 191,000+ mile, 38 mpg, never-needed-a-tune-up 2002 Escort ZX2 is hard to kill!

Glad to hear you're ok! I've got a 197,000+ mile Sable wagon that never needs anything either and she's a gamer on icy Vermont roads. When my eldest was desperate to buy an inexpensive vehicle, I found him a hardy little Escort that's been trucking him all over Seattle and over the Snoqualmie Pass to Boise for National Guard weekends. So far, not much snow though.

Back OT, is there any other news on Epica's tour? They had some killer performances to large crowds on the east coast.

I spoke to Mark a few days ago while they were in Canada. They said the shows have been packed everywhere. I'm glad this is the case. On their last "headlining" tour, there were hardly 100 people at the NY show. They definitely deserve it. Mark is one of the most hardworking people I've met in life.

I really wish I had seen them when they were in town. It was just a combination of bad timing and them playing Logan Square that prevented me from seeing them YET AGAIN. Hopefully, when they come back to Chicago they'll have enough cred or a decent backup band to play HOB.

I can almost guarantee you that the next time they headline, they should be able to play the HoB. At least in NYC I know for a fact they'll have to aim for a bigger venue. There were easily over a hundred people waiting outside trying to get in even though the concert was sold out. The band is tighter than ever too.

It's a shame you missed the show. Make sure to catch it next time.

Wow. Yesterday was my first metal show in Seattle and I had no idea what to expect. I mean there is no way It could be better than Chicago land metal shows right? WRONG! The venue was packed with young loud fans. Epica delivered a clean set that the crowd loved. The venue could have been a bit bigger and had a better stage but overall concert experience was great. Sound was fine. Simone was on fire and had everyone memorized. I saw the tour bus before the show and saw the damage. Ill post a pic of it later...

I loved my POS Escort. That was the car that had 600K plus miles and only needed general repair aside from a head gasket. Wish I would've kept that car instead of the POS I have now that's been in the shop for at least 3 month of the 12 I've had it...
