EQ filters for guitar solos

hi guys,

What sorta frequencies do you filter for guitar solos or boost? According to Andy Sneap on rhythm guitars, he filters from 60/80hz down and 12k up. Would like some suggestions on what works well for you and most ppl.

you asked for guitar solos and mentioned andy sneap's way for rhythm guitars? pretty much indifferent one from the other. I think for solos/leads it can vary hugely, more than on rhythm guitars IMO. It all depends on what distorsion and/or effects you are using for the lead (reverb, delay, etc) and the type of sound you want, personally I can't throw any numbers even as a starting point, probably someone with more experience could give some better pointers
