Hi there,

I was trying some different EQ plugins and I was wondering that the result of LPF/HPF very much differs from EQ to EQ. Look here: (of course you can hear it but as it's very good to see on a freqanalyze I made pictures)

This is a distorted rhythm guitar without LPF:

Using the Cubase Stock Channel EQ:

Why do all except the Cubase Channel EQ let so much fizz above the filter frequency pass? Ok the SSL X-EQ is the only one where you can set the db/octave but regardless that every setting (on the picture 6db/oct) let much more fizz thru than the Cubase one.

Am I crazy, drunk or what am I thinking wrong?

It looks to me like the only major difference is that the Cubase EQ is overall a few db's quieter than the other two.

EDIT: The meter on the right definitely supports that. There's a difference of about 3 db's.
