inspired by the "ESP vs. LTD"-thread I thought it's time for a porn thread dedicated to some of the best guitars for metal...

I've owned many beautiful ESPs, but you know how it is, you can't keep all of them, when GAS strikes you have to sell, trade....
These are the four I have left

sorry for the bad quality pics....
I'll probably post some individual shots later as well....

but first:

post pics of your ESP guitars!

Which SV is it ? I'm a bit lost in all the models, and I thought you had a Standard, cause my Standard has dots while yours has sharks inlays ?

I'm not quite sure tbh...It is a standard, but I'm beginning to think that it's a model only for the japanese market or something like that (the metal plate on the case also says "ESP.co.jp").
it might also have been a limited run or something.
but to be honest I prefer the looks of the model with dots and the block at the 12th fret....
I like the shark fins in Jacksons, not so much the sharkteeth in ESPs...but that's just a matter of taste I guess....
other than that it seems to be the same as your standard.

EDIT: seems to be a regular production model, just found it on Thomann as well.
perhaps they changed it last year or something?

You might be right, cause except from that it's the exact same (black hardware and all though I think I remember you changed the hardware to black yourself, or maybe i'm thinking of someone else)

I think it's the only picture I have of it :

I like it a lot, I just find there is something that limits me in terms of expression in soloing, I can't explain it precisely. On my very cheap Lâg, there are some subtle things I can do, bends sound more expressive, regardless its very shitty sond, while on the ESP it's not true at all. I don't know if it's because of the EMG, the Floyd Rose and it's loser tension than a fixed bridge (and the fact it follows your bends since you pull on the strings), or the frets (my Lâg has tiny frets which makes fingers have contact with the wood). Maybe I'm more a passive pikcups buy, maybe even more shredder sounding tones, I'll have to investigate on that in the future. It's an awesome guitare nonetheless, I like playing the SV shape because you can walk so easily !

here are some of the Custom MII...
this is HANDS DOWN the best sounding and playing guitar I've ever touched (and believe me, I touched MANY....owned about 150-200 different guitars in my life, recorded as many, tried and repaired as many as well).

That Eclipse gave me a hard-on...
I LOVE Eclipses, but my poverty has only allowed me to own an EC1000... great piece of gear, anyway!
