You guys were right! Live from the Dark kicks ass! Much more rocked out than I expected. I noticed John Norum has switched from a strat to a Les Paul, exclusively. Strange, but it totally rocks out! Great rock concert, all the way.

Norum did the right thing leaving Dokken to give Europe another shot. His playing has so much soul and feeling, he looks to be having a great time...

That's because they are back to being a guitar-oriented band! I remember a modern interview in the extras of the 1986 concert where Joey Tempest said he completely understood John's leaving the band at that time (it was record company's idea to oversaturate the keyboards). He said they have been friends since childhood, and they are both having a great time touring together these days.

It definitely shows!
