I don't post on this forum very often, but I certainly don't come to this forum simply to pimp a guitarist. I don't want this forum to turn into something like that, but I had to make an exception with the new Accept disc out.
I am an older musician who has been banging away on a six string for over 26 years and my all-time favorite guitarist decided to put his band back together after 14 years of "hiatus" namely Wolf Hoffmann of Accept. I must say..... he is as good as ever.
Wolf is no shredder. He blends classical music with blues and plays with feeling as well as a touch of technical virtuosity in his solos. Wolf also constantly plays licks during the songs that are buried deep in the recording in order to not screw up the feel of the songs. I highly recommend this to the guitarists out there, even the young guys that are into the more aggressive stuff. Wolf is an old dog that can teach a new dog a trick or two.
