file this under "you get what you pay for" - i wsa getting a great deal on the comps for letting the place that is pressing them put there contact info on the back...

well, i get the proofs yesterday, and the 'logo' on the back is huge (i should have seen that coming though... i mean, that was kinda part of the deal) i was still a little pissed. but then i got REALLY pissed when i saw the proof for the insert. they turned the whole back side of my insert into an ad for them. i called up, because we had not talked about that at all. and i even asked if we could have the insert be 2-sided because we had stuff we would have like to use on there. he said no because they wanted to keep costs down... which sounded on the up and up.

i told him that there is no way that is going on the insert, and that is not what we had talked about at all. he said it was 'managements idea at the last minute to toss that on'. i said i HAVE to have it off because now my comp looks like a commercial for them. i even went as far as to say i will pay fully for the inserts... so i'm sure that will turn into a bill... no way they won't take me up on that. but whatever.

so yeah... next time, no deals...

i know, and i called them on it. but part of the original deal was also me giving them some ad space on the site... that has kinda been dropped, and i don't want to bring it up again. so i thought better to just pay for the inserts and try to get past giving them ad space.
