from what I've heard, it was casued by an incredibly well (or poorly) placed lightning bolt - but I haven't seen that in the news anywhere yet. Power is on in some neighborhoods in NY, Boston appears to have been nearly unnaffected. Don't really know much other than that.

This is obviously evidence of God's poor opinion of everyone east of the Mississippi.

i was in Maine; one of my friends who accompanied me had gotten out of NYC bare hours before everything went black. we watched the shmoes on television shlepping through the shtreets while she repeatedly bemoaned the pierogies going bad in her freezer on the Upper White Side.

when i was walking home this guy was going against the flow of the people on the williamsburg bridge and he was like "THIS IS AN ACT OF GOD! GOD DID THIS!" and everyone was like 'well then god sucks!' and stuff like that.


haha upper white side. i say that to my boss (she lives there) she hates that. my friend tommy and i drive there sometimes, pull over, and ask 'excuse me, where are the black people?'.
