I've been wondering about these ISO cabs... doesn't this vertical speaker placement change tone? I thought that speakers have to move horizontally.

Maybe it does. And it's also a front loaded 1x12 in a very small room, compared to a rear loaded 4x12....But you can work with it. It serves its purpose well
