Evisceration Plague - Aaaaaaaaarghhhh!!!!

I remember getting a copy of the Bleeding on cassette back in 1994 - my cousin copied it for me. Up until then I thought 'Far Beyond Driven' and 'And Justice For All' were the most brutal albums ever... I nearly crapped myself when I heard this album. I still remember all the words to Fucked with a knife.

It sounds so different...absolutely unique, nothing to compare with. And the atmosphere of this record is so fuckin´sick :zombie: I think Alex Webster was the driving element on this. The Bass work is god-like!

Saw em yesterday... What a fucking shame they only got half an hour, even though there were just three bands on the bill and ticket prices were insane.

Corpse ruled supreme, though. Wouldn't have had expected anything less... The new songs worked quite well live. Great setlist. Short but intense. FOH guy should have turned Alex' bass up quite a bit... oh well.

Fuckin' Corpse man! :worship:

Nur ne halbe Stunde???? Sauerei :zombie:

Du sagst es! Und dafür hab ich 29 Euro (!!!) hingelegt... :erk:

Die Band war selber nicht gerade erfreut darüber ("It is like it is..."). Tja, so ist es wohl, wenn man für Affen wie COB den Vorturner spielen darf.

Die hätten ruhig mal ne Viertelstunde mehr für Corpse abzwacken können...

Funny note on the side: Some kids gave Corpsegrinder a World Of Warcraft shirt yesterday. He dedicated "Skull Full Of Maggots" to them...

Ich denke, dass zu viel lebender CC für Leute schlecht ist.

Haha not bad :kickass: I also think, too much cannibal corpse is not very good for the soul ;)

Hahaha this is great, man :) I wanna see corpse as an headliner. 30 Minutes simply would make me sad.

I like this a lot more than Kill in terms of production. Kill was smashed something terrible if I remember correctly. I dig the songs on this too. The last like 5 corpse CDs don't sound drastically different in terms of song-writing to me. As some people have mentioned, the highlights of this seem to be the slower songs.

Okay, this is from the Making of DVD that came with the album:

Rhythm guitar = Triple Rectifier (with "the pedal", which is probably some OD) into a Marshall 4x12" and Mesa Recto 4x12" (no mention if it's a Trad or OS, but it looks like an OS)
Lead guitar = Engl Powerball into a Marshall 4x12"
Bass = Ampeg SVT4 Pro into an older version Ampeg 8x10" cab

The guitar amp description is a bit vague in the video, so it might also be a combination of Triple Rec & Powerball for rhythm guitars. Leads are definitely the Powerball though. They also talk about EV300 sounding like a beast, when fiddling with the amps, but I'm not sure what they are referring to. I don't think they're using a full range speaker though:

I think "the pedal" is the Boss MT, Pat used it on live when I saw them and a friend of mine said that, too (worked as stage guy on one of their shows).
With gain at zero you can use it as a booster, sounds really corpse like (we tried it once during rehearsal, Boss Mt into Triple Recto).

Goddamn, I want to smash shit everytime I listen to this album. I'm glad Barret is back. I think he fits much better than Owen did. The low chromatic part on #6 makes me want to kill shit.
