Evohe Tellus Mater

Evohe are a black metal band hailing from France, a country producing an almost overwhelming number of high quality bands within the aforementioned genre. Unlike many of their fellow countrymen, with whom Evohe share a similar sound, these lads are a little more from the conventional BM background we're all so accustomed to in what is now a truly old and developed genre.
However, Evohe can proudly state that they possess the conviction and dedication to their unholy cause with all the might of not only their peers but also the past masters they are influenced by - think the dark, depressive tones of Burzum, the almost punk-like trance of Taake and throw in a healthy splash of (old) Aeternus) all fantastic influences if this particular style of BM gets you going. The production is solid if a little flat but it's instantly obvious that Evohe will be superb in the live arena. An interesting, honest release that will offer no surprises but plenty of atmosphere.
