How come "Bedlam 1-2-3" from the Atrocity Exhibition by Exodus is 19:51 but it stops at about 8:37? is it just aa glitch for me or is it really 11 minutes of silence?
I don't have the album but I have several other albums with the same situation, sometimes it leads to a hidden track in the end (which pisses me off for recording puproses) or sometimes like you pointed is just silence. A glitch or on purpose?, I don't know.
bruce dickinson's "the alchemist" of chemical wedding has like 2:20 of silence at the end before a short 5 second narration...i think people just like to do it for some reason.
those pauses seem alot shorter when youre writing it than when youre listening to it.
If you listen/wait until the end of the track, you'll see that the last 1min 35sec is a country/hillbilly/bluegrass version of Bonded By Blood. There is also a 6 or 7 second track of basically nothing after that to end the album.....
Other tunes that have unnecessary silence which seems like it will never end:
Opeth - By the Pain I See in Others
Gojira - The Way of All Flesh
Both Fight albums has hidden tracks after some silence at the end of the last song. PC69 in "Electrified" have a second version of 'Gone Again' asa hidden track after the end of the original sung with a heavily cockney accent by Readman. Doro also have a shorter acoustic version of 'Warrior Soul' at the end of 'Shine On' (on the "Warrior Soul" album).
Those I can recall right now, but I know I have more.
