One of the best Thrash live albums of the decade will be re-issued by Century Media next week

Just wanted to let you know for the thrashers out there :)

I absolutely love the way Baloff handles the crowd on this recording, his rants, his silly jokes, and his famous "that's so heaaavy".
"I want to see some bloooood"
"Everybody go fuckin crazy"

R.I.P.

Classic Live Paul Baloff:

"I wanna hear you fucking screeeeaaaam..."

That dude still fucking rules to this day...if you ever get a chance to see the video for "The Combat Tour" - Exodus, Slayer and Venom, it is absolutely killer stuff...

Why do they release it?
You mean, "why do they re-release it", right? Anyway, do you remember our conversation about Exodus a few weeks ago? Well, your seed fell on fertile soil. Meanwhile I got myself copies of their Tempo Of The Damned-CD and Pleasures Of The Flesh. And you can consider this post to be my stepping back from my opinion back then. I still don't understand the fuss about BbB though. It's a decent record but the Pleasures-album literally rips that one to pieces. And somehow I like Zetro's voice much more now. He sounds much meaner than on Impact Is Imminent on which he seems to have had his weak period.

I agree he's much better, read heavier now. I like him alot better now than when we had that conversation. :) I would sure as hell like to see them live again. Its been to long.

Very likely. But that suits me fine cause I don't have it yet. And if it's as good as you say I can't do any harm getting it, right?
You can do harm to your head because of the mad headbanguing it will cause to you :D

Definitely! And I will get the rest of their stuff, too. That's for sure.

Yeah, Tempo gave him an opportunity to show what he can do and he used it as his personal showcase. Nothing against the rest of the bunch but to me it's especially him who gets my credits.

In that case I will buy a helmet along with the CD, hahaha.
This reminds me when I started to train karate I also wanted to learn nunchaka. But of course there was the risk of hitting myself on the head with them. So I put on a helmet  Really. but then I made a wrong move and hit myself strait in the face!! Nope that helmet did not help much... ;)

Maybe you should have picked a football helmet. But better hit in the face than in your most delicate parts! You have to swing that thing round your legs as well, don't you?

Ouch! That's what I call pain divine. BTW that reminds me of my days back in school. We used to play soccer before and after class. But as a proper soccer ball proved to be much too unhandy to be put in a regular bag we went for tennis balls instead. Bad idea! One day there was a guy standing nearby just watching us play when one of my class mates literally jumped into the ball kicking out and sending it straight into the guy's sensitive area at full speed. No kidding, the guy collapsed at once and passed out for a full 10min! They even had to call an ambulance. Needless to say that we were getting lots of trouble after that incident when caught playing soccer again.

The way you describe it I can almost feel his pain auwa! :tickled:
Oh, yeah! Believe me, every single guy watching winced in sympathy the moment the ball sent him to the floor. Must be almost 15 years now but still the image sticks in my mind. I get goose bumps at the mere thought! :yell: :yell: :yell:
