Serving time in the middle of nowhere
I'm seeing the mighty Exodus tonight in Hartford, CT at the Webster Theatre. Their headlining along with Goatwhore, Arsis and Warbringer. Pretty good sized venue. The security outside of the place are douchebags and search you like your at the airport (understandable but they take it a bit to far) so I wont be bringing a camera. Funny though the security inside the venue in front of the stage have been pretty cool the other times I've been there. Anyway I'll post afterthoughts for those intersted. It's gonna rage.

I recently got into Warbringer. I dig a new band that manages to sound like old school thrash without pro-tooling all the feel out of it. I'd call them a cross between DRI and Kreator.

Warbringer is a great band. Before this I'd only heard snipit's of their music from their myspace page so I went into their set knowing pretty much nothing. They've got a new fan. Awesome new band keeping old school thrash alive. It was my first time seeing Arsis live but they were great. They sound lethal live. If your into death metal, check them out. It was my third time seeing Goatwhore and it was awesome just like the other times. High energy fun extreme metal.

Seeing Exodus, my favorite thrash band was a big deal for me. If you get a chance to check out this tour do so. The new material crushes live. Everybody sounded great. Dukes is a maniac on stage. Like him as a vocalist or not you can't deny his stage presence. Got to meet Lee after the show for a short time. Coolest motherfucker. Exodus setlist from what I recall (it was pretty fucking late when I got home):

Iconoclasm
Funeral Hymn
A Lesson In Violence
Children Of A Worthles God
Pirahna
Deathamphetamine
Blacklist
Fabulous Disaster
The Garden of Bleeding
Strike Of The Beast
Shovel Headed Kill Machine
War Is My Sheppard
Bonded By Blood
The Toxic Waltz
